Christmas traditions 🎄
I’m not sure if you and your family have quirky things you do around the Holliday’s but I just love the quality time!
FEEL FREE TO COMMENT YOUR TRADITIONS I LOVE NEW SUGGESTIONS!
My family is little, I grew up as an only child hundreds of miles away from all my family! But my parents really did make holidays amazing especially as a youngster! I loved Thanksgiving watching the parade, tasting all the food, then later on Black Friday shopping. Still to this day I have to do all those things. Just love it. For Christmas Eve it was church, one gift before bed and a movie! Then Christmas morning gifts, cooking all day, dinner and relaxing! Moreeeee movies!
Now that I have my own little family I love switching things up! So I complain every year that I do shopping on Christmas Eve but it’s actually fun! I love crowds, people, holliday energy, excitement! I’m really one to feed off the energy! Of course church is a must either the day before or on Christmas Eve! We have been very clear with Mykelti that Christmas is Jesus’s birthday. Of course she doesn’t understand too much just starting the foundation.
So Christmas Eve shopping, all day movies- elf, Santa Claus 1,2,3 and the grinch! This year we changed it up and had dinner (ham, potatoes, broccoli and cheese, a few jack and cokes hah) on Christmas Eve! I felt like it really got us excited. Just spending time together there is never a dull moment.Today we even switched it up and Mykelti and I had an Olive Garden date after shopping! I really am fortunate to have so much time with my baby! Thankful I get to be home with her especially during these moments!
